YPG General Command congratulated Syrian people on July 19th Revolution

The General Command of YPG issued a statement on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the July 19th Revolution that launched form Kobanî and it said,

“July 19 is the 7th anniversary of Rojava and North Syria Revolution that was launched from Kobanî, the Citadel of Resistance.

In the beginning and on behalf of YPG General Command, we congratulate our people with all components on this great occasion, and bow in tribute for the martyred who sacrificed their blood to protect this homeland from all attacks, and our Democratic Civil Institutions that contributed effectively to managing the affairs of the liberated areas.

No doubt that Rojava Revolution had an impact on the revolution in Syria and pointed it to the true path, but it was deviated in other fields and areas, drowned in the darkness of terrorism and extremism and depended on the exterior, not the interior, while Rojava Revolution was launched amid our Kurdish people’s suffering and their eagerness for freedom to establish a country land, in which justice, equality and democracy would be prevailed.

The Democratic Autonomous Administrations’ (DAA) experience maybe a good example on the true strategy put by the revolution to be a frank expression of our people’s hopes, aspirations to live within a homeland that would insure for them their dignity and rights. They are also the production of the efforts and struggle of all components that contributed to consolidating the principles and concepts of the fraternity of peoples for everybody to participate in making their decisions, and this is what has done through liberation and construction operations.

 Since its first day, the revolution has relied on a clear program as the slogan; “Towards Democratic and Non-Central Syria” was the real representation of the Syrians’ aims.

Again, we congratulate this anniversary to our people, and promise to stay watchful for protecting them.
