Reviving 19th July anniversary in al-Shahba

Hundreds of youths in the areas of Tel Rifat, Ahras, Kafer Naya, Fafin and their villages participated in the march organized by Rojava Youth Union in al-Shahba.

The participants held the flags of Rojava Youth Union, the Democratic Arab Youth Union, the People and Women Protection Units (YPG, YPJ). They also held banners with “In the spirit of July 14 resistance, we will defeat the Turkish occupation. Uprising is our promise, Revolt ... fight ... liberate ... Afrin, not to the Turkish occupation of the Syrian territories… revolt” written on.

The youths gathered on the highway between Fafin and Tel Qerah village. The march started from there amid chanting the slogans that revive Rojava Revolution and the resistance of the People and Women Protection Units in Afrin. The march headed towards Serdem camp.

When they arrived at the camp, hundreds of the camp’s residents who participated in the march received them.

The participants held a minute of silence. Then, several speeches were delivered by the administrative of Serdem camp Ghaliya Mohammed, the administrative in Rojava Youth Union Tolhildan Zerdesht, and the administrator in the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) Ocalan Mohammed.

The words first congratulated the sixth anniversary of the July 19th Revolution, the anniversary of the spark of Rojava Revolution to all the peoples in the Syrian north, the Kurdish people, the leader of the democratic nation Abdullah Ocalan, YPG and YPJ.

The words indicated that Rojava Revolution began with the spirit of the freedom martyrs such as Kamal Bair, Khairi Dormesh and hundreds of the first martyrs who martyred for this great revolution. The speeches also emphasized that in the spirit of Rojava Revolution martyrs, Afrin would be liberated from the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

The march ended with chanting the slogans that salute the Resistance of the Age and the Freedom Revolution in Rojava and North Syria.
