PYD: July 19th Revolution changed society

That came during a statement issued by the General Council of PYD on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the July 19th Revolution launch. The text of the statement included,

“The Middle East witnessed a crisis that extends to the depth of the society in the result of the policies of the successive ruling systems, and this area was exposed to deformation and forgery.

So that, an inclusive revolution that has new concepts at all domains of life had to be launched, it was a revolution to consolidate the values of free life, the co-existence and the free life. The July 19th Revolution represented this launch whose sparks started from Kobanî and extended to all areas of Rojava and North-Syria, and whose flames are still lightening till its aims to construct a social and political society would be achieved.

That revolution managed to establish the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) whose nucleus was, the youths and women, as a pioneer power to organize the society.

In its turn, the revolution consolidated the concepts of the self-protection through establishing a self-protection force of its people (YPG and YPJ) as a military and organized force that defends tis people and land. Kobanî liberation was the greatest victory achieved by YPG.

The July 19th Revolution worked to make a difference in the society as a solution for the Kurdish Cause, and on the same time as the Eastern uprising of the Middle East peoples, in addition to returning its civilizational role through the philosophy of the democratic nation and the revolutionary mentality that made a coup d’état against the backward mentality.

We, in PYD, congratulate the peoples of Rojava and North Syria on the 6th anniversary of the July 19th Revolution. On this occasion, we pledge the martyrs of freedom and dignity to preserve the gains of the revolution that have been achieved thanks to their blood and to follow their footsteps till their aspirations would be achieved.”
