Events commemorating 19 July Revolution continue in Kobanî

As part of the festivities in the canton, the Baki Khadou Center for Culture and Art organized on Monday a poetry evening and competitions in the Garden of Kongra Star.

The evening was attended by dozens of people, together with the Co-Chairman of the Executive council of autonomous administration in Kobanî Anwar Muslim Kobani, the co-chair of Kobanî canton Mustafa Aito, and a number of politicians and members of civil institutions.

The Asayish (Internal Security Forces) forces also attended to the security of the participants.

In the context of the evening, Baki Khadou Center teams presented a folkloric choir and several of them presented poetic poems, while banners were hung on the walls "The resistance of Afrin proved the reality of the July 19 revolution."

The Democratic Society Academy also organized a competition in which a number of questions were posed to the audience about the July 19 revolution.

Similar events will continue in Kobanî city and its villages on 19 July, the sixth anniversary of the revolution of Rojava, which was launched from Kobanî on 19 July 2012.

On Tuesday, there will be lectures in different places and other events commemorating the revolution, while the biggest celebration will take place on 19 July, where a large festival is planned to be attended by the people of Rojava.
