Martyrs' Families Foundation in Girê Spî build martyr's shrine Mahmoud Toma

The shrine of the martyr Mahmoud Toma, founded in 2016 in Tanhoza village the west of Girê Spî city, 6 kilometers long. It includes 172 graves for the martyrs of the People's Protection Units, Syrian Democratic Forces, Asayish and Traffic Forces.

In order to build and decorate the shrine, the Martyrs' Families Foundation, in coordination with the Martyrs' Families in Girê Spî canton, began work on the reconstruction of the shrine and the maintenance of the shrines.

Where the technical workshops of the Foundation is currently building shrines and restoration of the walls of the shrine and build a platform inside the shrine, and will be provided with light.

In addition to the construction and restoration works, the trees in the shrine are taken care of by the Martyrs' Families Foundation, it is scheduled that a family will    take care of the shrine after the completion of the maintenance work.

It is noteworthy that the martyr Mahmoud Toma, who named the shrine in his name, is a fighter in the Syrian Democratic Forces from Girê Spî city, he was martyred in the campaign of liberating Manbij city of ISIS on 15/7/2016. He was the first martyr who was buried in this shrine in the canton.
