The mercenaries of the so-called al-Hamzat Battalion of the Turkish intelligence broke into the house of Hamdi Abdu who is 70 years old from the village of Barad in ​​Sherawa district on July 7, and killed his elderly wife Sultana Khalil Nassru who is at 70, and who was killed at the hand of the commander of al-Hamzat Battalion the so-called mercenary Abu Ali Hayyani as a result of beating her brutally on the head and quitting her inside the house. Moreover, the mercenaries looted all their possessions, and abducted the elderly man Hamdi and then took him to an unknown destination.

The residents of the village found on Thursday the corpse of Hamdi Abdu within the agricultural lands south of Barad village.

A source from Barad told ANHA agency that after Hamdi Abdu’s corpse was found, it has been clear that he was severely tortured, one of his legs and hands were cut, and he was stoned to death as the effects of the brutal torture and stoning were visible on his body.

According to the source, the mercenaries, during kidnapping the citizen Hamdi and murdering his wife, looted big amounts of money from his house which were estimated at 7 million Syrian pounds, and about 1 kg of gold, in addition to stealing 10 cows that belong to him.

The source pointed out that Hamdi's corpse is still in the place where it was found because the mercenaries did not allow anyone to approach him, claiming that they demanded Turkey a criminal and medical committee to detect the body.
