Solemnly, Serê Kaniyê people bid martyr Hogir farewell

Hundreds of people from Serê Kaniyê district’s people and its villages had participated in the funeral of the fighter in the ranks of the People Protection Units Mohammed Sheikh whose nom de guerre is Hogir, Hogir martyred of a heart attack.

The mourners received the corpse of the martyr in front of Roj Hospital in Serê Kaniyê and headed towards the martyrs' shrine by cars

In the ceremony, which began with a minute of silence on martyrs' souls, speech was delivered on behalf of the Martyrs Families' Council in Serê Kaniyê by Bêyar Amin who offered condolences to fighter’s family Hogir  and said  "We continue in the footsteps of the martyrs through our strong will and our commando souls. We pledge to the martyr Hogir and all the martyrs to take their avenge and walk on their path until victory.

In turn, the commader of the People Protection Units YPG Azad Welat, pledged to march in the footsteps of the martyrs and preserve the gains of the revolution. “For a free and dignified life, we will sacrifice all that is precious," he said.

Following the words, Hogir’s certificate of martyrdom was read by the Martyrs Families' Council and handed over to his family. At the end of the ceremony, the corpse of the martyr was buried amid the slogans in the martyrs' shrine in Serê Kaniyê.
