DCA denies rumors about regime’s entry into al-Tabqa

The Democratic Civil Administration of al-Tabqa issued a written statement in which it denied all rumors circulated about the establishment of a security box for the Syrian regime in al-Tabqa or even the delivery of the Euphrates Dam to the regime.

The statement included:

“A statement issued by the Joint Presidency of the Executive Council of al-Tabqa area

On behalf of the Democratic Civil Administration of al-Tabqa area

Regarding the rumors propagated by some parties on the social media about the entry of the regime forces into al-Tabqa, we affirm that these statements are untrue.

The former employees for the regime in the Euphrates Dam still work, and as the dam is a national treasure, supplying all areas of northern Syria with electric current and systematically destroyed during the period of IS occupation for the dam and because of the need for equipment to repair the dam, we do not consider it a problem if the former employees and current workers of the Democratic Civil Administration of al-Tabqa area manage the dam in a common way to serve the Syrian public interest.

There was no agreement with the regime regarding the dam or any other details.

With regard to the rumors about the existence of a security box for the Syrian regime in al-Tabqa, and what has been promoted by some media in this regard is completely untrue.
