RMCO is working on dismantling mines

With the help of the people, the RMCO dismantled mines planted by IS mercenaries in al-Thewra neighborhood of al-Raqqa. The organization also found a warehouse containing 900 shells.

After receiving reports from the people at Sariko dwellings in al-Thewra neighborhood in al-Raqqa, the organization began dismantling mines in the area on Wednesday as there are thermal and laser mines.

During searching operations, the organization found a warehouse for IS mercenaries, containing 900 medium-sized shells made by IS in their former factory in al-Raqqa.

Ibrahim Ali Sido, the member of the organization said, "We immediately went to the area and began to dismantle the mines that were planted in populated areas when we received reports from the people about that."

Sido noted, "IS mercenaries worked on putting mines professionally and seriously as this delays the work of dismantling them."

At the end of his speech, Sido appealed to all residents of al-Raqqa to inform them about the location of warehouses and mines if existed.
