Meeting to explain cooperative associations’ concept in al-Tabqa

The meeting which was held in Women's Council Garden in the second neighborhood of the city was attended by the co-chair of the Economic Committee in the Democratic Civil Administration of al-Tabqa area Ahmad Suleiman, administrators of the Women's Committee and a number of al-Tabqa people.

At the beginning of the meeting, the co-chair of the Cooperative Associations Union in al-Jazeera canton Nabila Mohammed talked about the concept of the cooperative associations that seek to serve the society, pointing out that the associations rely on the collaborative work that brings together the popular sector and develops the economy of each individual in the association, calling for the need for women to play their role in those associations to rely on themselves to increase their economy within the society.

Hussein Mohammed, the administrator of the cooperative associations in Girê Spî canton said, "These cooperative associations provide jobs to the society in all fields, and each association has a special project that is based on an agreement among its members to reach their goals, develop the economy of the area and reduce the monopoly of prices through market competition."

At the end of the meeting, some of the people's demands and their views and suggestions about the cooperative associations and how to organize them were discussed.
