Reconstruction committee about completion to clean al-Raqqa

During the campaign launched by SDF fighters to liberate al-Raqqa city, al-Raqqa city was fully booby-trapped by Islamic State's gangs to avoid strikes by international alliance and (SDF's) fighters that caused massive destruction to al-Raqqa city, After establishing of al-Raqqa Civil Council and the engineering teams to removing mines, Reconstruction Committee was formed to restructure the city and clean it from rubble .

About 14 neighborhoods were fully destroyed, while some neighborhoods were partly damaged and some were no as badly damaged as other neighborhoods.

The Reconstruction Committee began its work directly despite lack of capabilities, where the Committee was able to clean most of city 's  neighborhoods, while was unable to enter some of the other neighborhoods because of the density of mines, and plans to enter the Commission in the coming days after removing mines by Engineering teams .

The center of the city connects all the city's neighborhoods with each other. The center has high buildings, where IS mercenaries are stationed in these high buildings, IS mercenaries targeted the buildings, the civilians who tried to escape, the center witnessed the most violent clashes between SDF fighters and IS mercenaries, and mines had been planted intensively to obstacle advance of troops, the Reconstruction Committee were able to clean up the center by 82%.

Al-Mashlaab neighborhood is located in the eastern part of al-Raqqa city. It is considered one of the neighborhoods that have not been affected by the fighting the percentage of destruction is not more than 6%. The neighborhood is considered to be one of the most cleaned neighborhoods of mines. It is the busiest neighborhood since its liberation from a IS mercenaries.

Rumaila neighborhood is located in the north-east of al-Raqqa city and the railway is divided into two neighborhoods north and south. The Reconstruction Committee has completely cleaned up the southern party, and the northern side has not been able to enter it yet, because the engineering teams are currently working intensively to clean it.

Al-Dariya neighborhood is located in the western part of al-Raqqa  city was completely destroyed due to fighting between SDF fighters and IS mercenaries while the Reconstruction Committee was able to clean the neighborhood completely from the rubble

Al-Taiyar neighborhood is located in the western part of al-Raqqa city, one of the largest neighborhoods in al-Raqqa city. It was completely destroyed and the Reconstruction Committee was able to completely clean it from the rubble as the residents of the neighborhood rehabilitate their homes and shops.

Al-Sinaa neighborhood is located in the eastern part of al-Raqqa city, it was a strategic center for IS mercenaries. During the liberation campaign the neighborhood witnessed violent clashes between SDF fighters and IS mercenaries, causing massive destruction of the neighborhood completely, the committee was able to clean the neighborhood completely from the rubble and gradually return to li

Al-Romaniya neighborhood is located on the western side of al-Raqqa city was destroyed by IS mercenaries, while the cleaning continues until it is fully cleaned

Al-Furat neighborhood is located in the south-west of al-Raqqa city on the Euphrates bank from the north. The Euphrates neighborhood is considered the third in terms of destruction, after the city center and al-Forwosiya neighborhood, but the engineering teams were able to clean the neighborhood of mines, while the neighborhood reconstruction committee was fully cleaned.

AL-Edkahar is located in the north-west of al-Raqqa city, a neighborhood was destroyed due to presence of high buildings, the reconstruction committee has not entered the neighborhood yet, the rubble are still cleared of mines, cleaning operations will take place within the next few days.

Hawar news agency ANHA held an interview with the head of the reconstruction committee Ibrhim al-Hasan saying " The lack of   machineries and the lack of modern machineries slow the work of the committee, while the committee is unable to enter some neighborhoods due to the density of mines."
