Regime forces entered 8 towns in Daraa

The regime forces entered 8 towns at least in Daraa governorate south of Syria after the Russia side held negotiations with the armed groups, while raids are still going on in other fronts in the area.

France Press quoted from Rami Abdel Rahman, the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stating, "At least, 8 towns in the northern and eastern countryside of Daraa have agreed the contracts following negotiations held by Russian officers with local notables and what have remained of opposition fighters inside each town."

The most prominent of these towns are Dael, Abte’, al-Ghariyah al-Gharbiya, al-Ghariyah al-Sharqiya and al-Karak al-Sharqi according to the observatory which reported the spread of Russian military police in a number of them.

Media reports said that the Russian-Israeli-Jordanian-US consultations resulted in holding an agreement to reduce the Iranian presence on the borders with Israel in exchange for the entry of the regime forces to the area.

Since June 19, the regime has launched a large-scale military operation in Daraa governorate to control it completely, and has made rapid advance on the account of the armed groups, especially in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

This period, the focus is directed to the expected summit between the US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin which will focus on the Syrian file and the Iranian complete withdrawal from the country.
