KJK: June 24 elections were conspiracy against Turkish people

KJK issued a written statement on the election and its conclusion that the elections were illegal and pointed to the failure of Erdogan's plan and his party to prevent HDP from crossing the election threshold.

KJK's statement said:

"The elections of June 24 have emerged on a democratic and political basis and a new stage has come through the serious results that will emerge: As the power of women's freedom and building democracy in the 21st century, our revolutionary responsibilities have increased with the elections of June 24. In this victorious election, The victor are the women who insist on achieving democracy, the victor is the philosophy of the freedom of leader Ocalan.

We congratulate the struggle and efforts of all the Kurdish people and our people who participated in the June 24 elections in the spirit of resistance. We salute this great position of our people, who did not surrender to fascism and injustice. Their struggle and fight against fascism and their stand on the side of freedom and democracy led the Democratic People's Party(HDP) to overcome the threshold of elections and thwart Erdogan and the Justice and Development Party's plans to prevent it from crossing the threshold.

Erdogan came out on the night of the election and armed with terrorism and murder, and through the tricks and deceits and large theft of votes Erdogan won the election. The votes were stolen in the whole of Turkey. The biggest conspiracy committed by the AKP against the Turkish people was the June 24, 2018 elections. By harnessing the media, private war and the use of state officials, Erdogan carried out the election blow, so these elections have no legitimacy.

Therefore, these elections must be properly understood. As women and as people, greater efforts must be made to achieve democracy. Our struggle for freedom will bring serious results. With this organized stance alongside the democratic forces in Turkey it is possible to win together. The mobilization and struggle of peoples, women and youth to achieve this victory and for building a democratic nation and a multicultural society with a fundamental democratic duty. We congratulate the election victory on HDP candidates who represent women and fulfill their duty in Parliament which is one of the fronts of the struggle .

We appeal to all women parliamentarians from political parties to fight intolerance, fascism and the ideology of injustice, to unify the struggle of women for freedom and for the democratic politics of society. We also call upon all women to unite the struggle to establish the identity of women and to build a free and democratic life.

With determination, organization and building a free and democratic life, fascism can be defeated. In the elections and the June 24 strike is illegal and unfair and despite all the pressures.

In the 16 years of AKP rule, violations against women have increased, including murder, rape, violence and non-prosecution of perpetrators.

In the June 24 elections, Erdogan's dream of the presidency is achieved by stealing the votes and efforts of the people. Our people know very well that Erdogan does not recognize democracy and freedom. The votes he received and the percentage of votes announced to public opinion proved to be the biggest thief of power and effort throughout history.

The Democratic People's Party has great experience in democratic politics. This struggle which is based on the will of our people and the will of women, must become the groundwork for the struggle for the freedom of leader Ocalan.
