Commemorating ceremonies for May, June martyrs in Qamişlo

Qamişlo people held commemorating ceremonies for May and June martyrs in the Martyr Delil Serokhan cemetery.

QAMIŞLO

Commemorating ceremonies were held for the martyrs of Qamişlo martyrs; the Popular Defense Forces (HPG), the People and Women Protection Units (YPG,YPJ), Asayîş Forces, Democratic Society Movement’s members, Self-Defense Duty Forces, Anti-Terrorism Forces who martyred in May and June in various places, and that took place in the Martyr Delil Serokhan Cemetery.

Hundreds of the martyrs’ families and the people of the area attended the ceremonies.

The ceremonies started by holding a minute of silence in tribute for the martyrs’ souls. Then, a speech on behalf of the Martyrs’ Families Council in Qamişlo city was delivered by Fedakar Qamişlo, in which, he promised the revenge for the martyrs’ blood and to continue following their footsteps.

After that, the commemorated martyrs’ names were read. The ceremony also commemorated the struggler Zenab Kenaji whose nom de guerre is Zilan in the anniversary of 22nd of her martyrdom.

The ceremonies ended by chanting the slogans that immortalize the martyrs.
