Al-Abdullah: al-Hasakah countryside liberated in full, coordination continues with Iraqi forces

Hawar news agency (ANHA) held interview with Lilawa al-Abdullah talking about recent developments of al- Jazeera Tempest campaign, who said the campaign continues with all its strength in the region.

Lilawa pointed out that the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces and after they had resumed al-Jazeera Tempest campaign were able to liberate many strategic points, including al-Dashisha town located on the Syrian-Iraqi border, which was the last stronghold of IS mercenaries in the countryside of al-Hasakah.

She said "With the liberation of al-Dashisha town, all the southern and southeastern suburbs of al-Hasakah are considered liberated from IS mercenaries and added "The links between mercenaries in Syria and Iraq have been completely cut off."

To talk about coordination between the Iraqi army and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Lilawa said "Coordination between our forces and the Iraqi army continues until the entire region is liberated from IS mercenaries and the Syrian-Iraqi border is being secured.

She also noted that the forces of the regime tried many a time to block the campaign through the attack on the points of the Syrian Democratic forces (SDF), which defeated terrorism, but in vain.

Lilawa pointed out in her talk that the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF) were able to liberate hundreds of civilians from the areas occupied by IS mercenaries and after securing these areas and removing all the mines, the civilians will return to their homes.

Lilawa Al-Abdullah praised the role played by the fighters in the Women Protection Units (YPJ) in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign and liberation of hundreds of Arab women who severely suffered injustice. Al-Abdullah added "During the revolution, the Women Protection Units proved to be the only forces that liberated women and saved them from slavery. Indeed, this is what happened during the campaign of al-Jazeera Tempest where the Women Protection Units have freed hundreds of women, and dozens of women from these areas have begun to join the ranks of Women Protection Units (YPJ) "
