KCK: Erdogan, fascist parties' victory is illegal

The co-chair of the Executive Body of KCK issued on Tuesday a written statement to the public opinion stating that Erdogan and the fascist parties' victory in the elections of June 24 was not legitimate.

The statement pointed out that the parties of the Justice and Development and the National Movement remained on the helm of the ruling in the result of the tricks that they resorted to, and that the victory does not come from their strength, and the statement noted that a campaign of pressure and injustice would be launched on the democratic forces. The statement also congratulated all the people who gathered around the HDP.

KCK confirmed through the statement that the two parties resorted to all tricks and illegal practices to win the victory, and that interference in the electoral centers and the pressure put on the people during voting removed the legitimacy of the elections.

The statement pointed out that the two parties held early elections to legitimize their aggressive policies against the democratic forces and the Kurds. The statement also pointed out that the democratic forces must not consider these elections legitimate and must escalate the struggle against the fascist forces.

The presidency confirmed that HDP was able to exceed the 10% threshold and entered the parliament again despite all the pressures, tricks and practices committed against the party's members.
