On 3rd anniversary of Kobani's massacre ... appeals to stand with Syrian people

The Co-chair of the Executive Council in al-Jazeera region on Monday released a written statement to the public opinion in Commemoration of martyrs of the massacre which were committed in Kobani by Islamic State’s gangs

The statement said:

Today marks the third anniversary of Kobani’s massacre which was committed by Islamic State’s gangs, which claimed the lives of dozens of women, children and the disabled. The regional and international supporters could not bear their defeat by the children of Kobani and with them the children of North Syria, where the revolution of 19 July and expanded to other North Syria's regions.

Meantime, we live in memory of this painful massacre, we see that the Turkish occupation did not hesitate for a moment to commit the most terrible crimes and massacres against Afrin children. Afrin the sister of Kobani in countering terrorism and a model of safe haven for the Syrian people in sharing pain and hopes, it became clear that Turkey and its mercenaries do not carry any projects to solve Syria and its peoples. Contrarily, they increase their tyranny in the occupation of North Syria's cities and creation of seditions against all international conventions and human rights laws, even committed acts and crimes amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

On this occasion, while we commemorate the martyrs of the massacre of Kobani and all the martyrs of freedom and human dignity, we call on good conscience and free humanity to stand with the suffering of the Syrian people in reaching freedom and human dignity and finding a solution to this crisis in achieving the rights of all components of the Syrian people. At the same time, in general and the Syrian north, especially as far as defending our components and liberating all the cities and regions of the Syrian north from the desecration of terrorism, we will liberate Afrin and all the cities occupied by Turkey and we will keep our hands extended to dialogue and negotiation in order to find a solution to the Syrian crisis on equal bases, social justice and fraternity of peoples.”
