Guerrilla forces hit helicopter

According to a statement released by the Popular Defense Forces (HPG), during the operations carried out in the cities of Şernax and Sêrt in Bakur (North Kurdistan), the forces hit a Skorsky-type helicopter and killed a Turkish soldier.

The media center of HPG issued a written statement to the public opinion revealing the outcomes of the two operations which were carried out in Şernex and Sêrt.

The text of the statement included:

"In the context of the revolutionary campaign launched in the name of the martyr Dalal Amed and the martyrs of Besta, our forces carried out an operation against a helicopter of the Turkish occupation army in Fendeqê area in Kabar Mount in Şernex city. Our forces hit the helicopter and then it withdrew from the area immediately.

On June 22, at 06:00, our forces carried out an operation against a Turkish army’s military unit between Arbo and Farkanesh posts in Heweil district in Sêrt city. Our forces dealt the unit harsh blows, and according to the information obtained, a Turkish soldier was killed during the operation.

On June22, Turkish warplanes launched raids on Argana area in Kara area of the Legitimate Defense zones (Media).
