Lebanese delegation visited PYD's headquarters

On Saturday, a delegation of Lebanese jurists and politicians visited the headquarters of the Democratic Unionist Party (PYD) in Qamişlo to be introduced to the party and to take a closer look at its work.

The visiting delegation included the Lebanese jurist, media professional and former candidate for the Lebanese parliamentary elections Nemat Badr al-Din, the lawyer in the field of Human Rights and the political activist Dona Galuk, the former Armenian deputy, the political activist in the field of Human Rights and the specialist in the Armenian-Kurdish relations Hanu Maskovian, the head of Newroz Cultural Association and the responsible for the relations in Kongra Star Hanan Othman, the political activist and the official in Newroz Association Ghazali Saado.

The delegation was received by the two co-chairs of the Democratic Union Party Aisha Hesso and Shahoz Hassen, and members in the party.

The discussion revolved around the delegation's visit to Rojava, the camps of al-Shahba canton and the people of Afrin who were subjected to displacement and demographic change, the revolution of women in Rojava and North Syria, and the question about the party's work, what is it? And the steps which it will work on to reach a peaceful solution to end the Syrian crisis.

The co-chair of the Democratic Union Party Aisha Hesso said that what Afrin suffered from at the hands of the Turkish occupation is to restore the dreams of the Ottomans and to end the project of federalism and the democratic nation. The Syrian people will not stand idly by and they will fight for restoring the holy land of Afrin.

For his part, the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party Shahoz Hassen said that the Syrian crisis would not be solved only through the Syrian-Syrian dialogue and the negotiation whether with the regime or the opposition to build a democratic pluralistic and unified Syria including all the Syrian people of all components. Hassen added that they will work to reach the negotiating table, offer their democratic federal project and bring peace to every part of Syria.

Furthermore, the Lebanese delegation visited the camps in al-Shahba canton and the centers and institutions of the Democratic Autonomous Administration to study the situations of the camps and the people of Afrin displaced people.
