Turkey’s incursion in Manbij aims to strike security and stability the region enjoys

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with a number of Manbij city's women in North Syria, they expressed their total rejection of Turkish threats to continue their incursion into the area.

In this context, citizen Lamia Khalo denounced Turkish threats to Manbij, and rejected the recent bilateral agreement between "Turkey and America" about Manbij,   She explained that as children of the region they administrate themselves and have achieved a lot of successes in this context and they do not need anyone to interfere in their affairs.

The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with his US counterpart Mike Pompeo on June 4 in Washington, and Turkey claimed that it had agreed on several items on the path of incursion Manbij city.

In turn, the citizen Hanaa Sharif, noted that "the Turkish occupation, which occupied Afrin, Jarablus, Azaz and al-Bab cities in North Syria is now trying to repeat the same scenario in Manbij also."

Hanaa stresses that as women, they will not allow anyone to destabilize their city after years of suffering from Brutal practices during domination of the Islamic State's gangs on Manbij city.

She asked, "Why are Turkey trying to occupy a land that is neither its land nor the territory of its borders? People are aware of what Turkey wants to do in the region, and we will not allow its goals to be achieved on our land."

Turkey has repeatedly threatened to invade Manbij city’s territory, under the pretext of the presence of People and Women Protection Units (YPG, YPJ), which Turkey views as a threat to its territory. These units worked throughout the revolution to maintain security of the border with the neighboring state despite repeated repeated attacks by the latter towards Rojava’s territory (West of Kurdistan).

People Protection Units (YPG) released a statement earlier this week confirming that they withdrew all their forces from Manbij after liberation of the city nearly two years ago, but kept their military advisers to withdraw them also after completing their training the Manbij Military Council fighters, where the latter made a statement of thanks later..
