TEV-DEM stressed necessity to repel Turkish aggression in Başûr

The Executive Body of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) said in a statement that the Turkish plan and the insistence on the genocide of the Kurdish people has become a matter of existence or not, pointing to the need for immediate action to repel the Turkish aggression and to move to build a unified position through the acceleration to convent the Kurdistan National Conference.

The Executive Body of TEV-DEM issued a statement commenting on the Turkish attacks and the recent incursion into Başûr Kurdistan territories.

The text of the statement included:

"The Turkish state by Erdogan's leadership adopts all terrorist organizations, especially IS in order to pass its policy aimed at establishing a new Ottoman Sultanate. When this is not achieved, it seeks to use excessive force and before the sight of everyone using NATO weapons.

The Turkish occupation of Jarablos and al-Bab cities with wherever around, and then its advance was procedures of the desire of the Turkish state in preventing the stability and solution in Syria. These provocative and illegal steps contributed to further obstruction.

The attack on Afrin and the use of what is contrary to moral principles and values before legal ones in the world was a clear reference that Turkey does not want a solution or efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people because they represent Afrin from the important point in the development of the democratic solution in Syria.

This is represented by the political and moral discontent. Turkey, led by Erdogan, wants to strike any attempts to achieve the unity and harmony among the peoples and regains its cohesion after being liberated from the terrorist forces in Syria. Therefore, the threat to Manbij is for the same goal through, which Turkey wants to strike the democratic model and the co-existence as well as the will of the people to build its future as the attack was launched on the safe people in Afrin.

When we, in the Executive Body of TEV-DEM, see that the process of attacking Başûr Kurdistan and the policy of denying in Bakur is the completion of the objectives of the campaign against Afrin, we affirm that we condemn by all means these procedures and Turkish chauvinist practices against our people. What Erdogan is doing is a challenge to the will of our people and serious attempts to distort his role in stability within the area.
