Politician: Turkey's incursion into Başûr will not undermine will of Kurdish people

The talk of a member of the logical committee of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party-Kobani organization, Mohammed Habib commenting on the increasing attacks of the Turkish state on several Kurdish areas and the recent threats of an attack on Qandil in Başûr Kurdistan.

In recent days, Turkish leaders have threatened to launch an attack on Qandil Mountains in the southern of Başûr province, which in turn means occupying the territory of a neighboring state. Turkish forces have penetrated more than 27 kilometers into the territory of Başûr Kurdistan. Turkish President Erdogan said that their forces has become "close" to Qandil and attacking it is "only a matter of time," according to his claim.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) held interview with Mohammed Habib, he said "The Turkish state since ancient times to the present day does not accept victories achieved by the Kurds, so as not to accept their presence, so today we see them threatening to launch attacks on Qandil, which is an area in a neighboring country of Turkey, and has no right to cross the border Turkey, And has no right to cross the border, Turkey is trying through these violations to undermine the will of the Kurdish people.

Habib, referring to need to stop these attacks, said that it is necessary for the Kurds who stand by the occupation to recover their guidance and work to achieve unity.

Habib added "We, as a party, see that we as Kurds if we agreed and believed in our cause, we will never lose and we will be able to stand up to the occupied Turkish state because our victory will only be achieved if we are united."

Presidential and parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place in Turkey on June 24, several months ahead of schedule, following a decision by Turkish President Erdoğan.

He called on the Kurdish people and all components of the people living in Turkey to pay attention and not to be deceived by Erdogan's policy, which are aimed at targeting particularly the Kurdish will.

He pointed out that the Turkish state fights the Kurdish people and claims that it is fighting PKK and said "PKK did not exist in Afrin to displace the people, loot their houses, settle the thieves, and kill their young and old."

Turkey was accompanied by mercenary gangs from remnants of Islamic State's gangs, al-Nusra Front and al-Qaeda and with international blessing, Afrin canton, following a military operation that was resisted by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) for 58 days, ending on 18 March with occupation of Afrin city and displacing tens of thousands of people and killing thousands of Afrin people.

Habib stressed that the Turkish state does not accept the existence of Kurdish will or even any Kurdish presence, so they attack the Kurds wherever they are, and that their attacks on Qandil in particular aim to undermine the administration of the Kurdish people.

He pointed out that they want the peoples of the region from the Kurds, Arabs and Turks to live together in peace, explaining that the Kurds are not advocates of war and they take up arms only when their enemies force them to take up arms in order to protect the land.
