Notable of Bu Sultan clan: rejecting interference in affairs of Manbij, its people decide their fate

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with Abdul Salam, he said "After liberating Manbij city by virtue of Manbij Military Council from grip of Islamic State's gangs, the city has lived in state of stability. However, this has caused to some foreign parties, including Turkish state, which has recently been trying to instigate strife in the region during its threats to the city.

Notable of one of the largest clans in the region pointed out "Manbij city's children manage the city and the civil council in Manbij who represents the people of Manbij and military council of Manbij is the only force that protects of Manbij people."

Abdul Salam appealed to residents of Manbij city not to be dragged behind the statements claiming Turkey occupation of the city, trying to create chaos among the people and we have to trust of Manbij Military Council and provide all kinds of support.

The recent Turkish threats to penetrate into Manbij city under pretext of the existence of People Protection Units (YPG) as they pose a danger to their ambitions in the Syrian territories caused a great resentment in Manbij's streets, which refused to accept any Turkish presence on its territory.

A bilateral meeting between the US and Turkish foreign ministers was held in Washington on Monday and several points were agreed upon in Manbij, according to Turkish claims, but the civil and military administration in Manbij said they had no knowledge of the deal and were not interested in it.
