Three schools opened for al-Raqqa's top students

The distinguished schools, which were opened by the Education Committee on 27/5/2018, received about 250 students who proved their eligibility and superiority during the last academic year.

Three schools were selected within al-Raqqa city to receive outstanding students (Rabaa al-Adawiya, al-Farouk and Jawad Anzour) in the center of the city. These schools receive students three days a week and give lessons for two hours on each of the three days, as the students are now in summer holiday.

This is a step towards classifying students who have dropped out of education in the shadow of the Syrian crisis, according to their age and the classes that suit them, and participate in competitions at the level of the city's schools and villages, and form a nucleus for the establishment of a school for outstanding students.

In this context, ANHA correspondent met with the spokesman of the Olympics Riyad al-Mari. He pointed out that the students in al-Raqqa city had been deprived of education for four years, this is why the Olympics were launched to promote the educational reality in al-Raqqa and to encourage students to study.

Al-Mari noted their intention to establish a center for the outstanding students in the eastern neighborhoods of the city, specifically within al-Mushlab neighborhood in order to reach all the children of al-Raqqa.
