Al-Jazeera Tempest: 46 mercenaries killed, 3 villages liberated

The Media Center of Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement published on its official website revealed the results of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign, which has been resumed three days ago. The media center confirmed the killing of at least 46 mercenaries and 3 villages and 7 farms were liberated.

The statement said:

In the campaign that our forces are engaged in two axes in the east and west, our forces advanced seven kilometers from al-Shadadi area and managed to liberate al-Marjan, Koleyb Tahtani, al-Khawira, and seven hamlets attached to these villages.

The violent clashes that had been launched in al-Kaleb village with various types of individual and heavy weapons led to the death of many mercenaries and the targeting of motorcycles used by mercenaries in their movements.

Our forces also discovered a wide network of mines in Marjan village, where the engineering teams dismantled all of them. Our forces also discovered a network of tunnels that were explored and made sure they were free of terrorists after they fled the village. "

46 terrorists killed, including four Emirs

"During these clashes, 46 terrorists were killed, including four Emirs, and two of our fighters were wounded. The military medical unit took them from the battlefield to receive treatment and their condition is now stable," the statement said.

The forces are seven km from al-Holl axis

As for the progress of the campaign from al-Holl axis, the statement said: "On the axis of al-Holl area, our forces have advanced 7.5 kilometers, terrorists have little resistance, there has been no direct clashes with them, but there is mortar shelling, the mercenaries are trying to stop our forces of advancing."

"The International Coalition took part in air and ground operations. It carried out 21 air strikes targeting terrorist movements, it also targeted fortifications with heavy artillery 47 times and three surface- missile attacks," the statement said.

Air raids, artillery shelling and direct fighting destroyed two 4x4s and one motorcycle, two ground-based fortifications where the terrorists barricaded and 46 terrorists were killed, including 4 of their Emirs.”
