Commune platform gathering Kurds,Arabs, Syriac ,Armenians

Over the course of seven years of the revolution in Rojava andNorth Syria, the foundations of a social system that embraces all peoples and beliefs have solidified. This new system has been greatly strengthened over the past years, creating a strong structure to strengthen the democratic system in a society that has suffered for hundreds of years of fragmentation and division.

This new social order was founded by the smallest cell in society: the communes. Communities that have been managed so far by orders and instructions from higher structures are now managing their own affairs in urban and rural neighborhoods

Al-Kornish neighborhood in Qamisglo city  is a model for the consolidation of commune system and the promotion of coexistence among the various national, religious and social components. The neighborhood includes 58 communes , including 3  communes for the sons of the Syriac and Armenian components, and 3 communes for the children of the Arab component, while the rest of the communes are common communes between Kurds and Arabs

Hawar news agency(ANHA) explotred reality of the communes in al-Kornish neighborhood and highlighted the nature of its work and organization.

In the communes there is no difference between the peoples

The commune of the martyr Berxwedan Betal in al-Kornish neighborhood is a commune comprising the sons of the Kurdish and Arab components. The Co-chairs are Kurdish and one Arab. The Co-chiar of the commune , Saleh Khader Ibrahim, who is an Arab component, said that there is no difference between the two peoples because "we are all members of this nation." Before the founding of the commune to neighborhoods people were deprived of services."

'With the founding of the Commune broke the social mold narrow'

Saleh Ibrahim also addressed the situation of women, especially Arab women, and pointed out that after the founding of the communes, women managed to emerge from stereotypes and narrow social customs the task of women was confined to domestic duties and but now it is fulfilling its responsibilities within  the communes and remove misconceptions about women ."

Here our unity has been consolidated

Another commune in al-Kornish neighborhood is commune of the Martyr Athro, of Syriac and Armenian components,the Co-chair of the commune Voyola Hanna who praised the spirit and cooperation among the people within the commune.

The commune contributed to consolidation the organization of society

Administrator in al-Kornish neighborhood's council  Adnan Sulaiman Description of the population structure in al-Kornish neighbrohood as mosaic plate, where the neighborhood includes the sons of different components, and this diversity is what distinguishes the neighborhood and give it special beauty. Sulaiman said that the Baathist regime was seeking to strengthen the division between the components and peoples, and even deprived the Kurdish people of nationality. "With the establishment of the communes, social organization was strengthened and everyone became involved in this organization equally, and the commune was open to all to express its opinion."
