Coming from Afrin: Afrin’s features changed by Turkey's gangs

Afrin canton features have changed after Turkish occupation and its gangs’ occupied it, its inhabitants no longer see the features of their city as it was before, where foreigners with completely different cultures from other cities have settled. The mercenaries have brought their families and civilians from various Syrian cities like Homs, al-Ghouta, Hama, Duma, Palmyra and al-Badia.

After Turkish occupation and its gangs occupied Afrin canton, they began robbing, looting and changing the city's landmarks and destroyed holy sites, historical and national monuments and symbols of the city. They worked to spread the camels and their cultures in the city and imposed on the inhabitants of the city to move and live under their domination and women have been forced to cover their face by veil "niqab" and denied going out.

Al-Sham Corps mercenaries are particularly seizing civilians' properties who have been forced to leave their homes and reach to al-Shahba canton, regardless, they do not allow the people to harvest the season’s yield and have their cattle to graze there.

The settlers seized the shops of the market of Maydan Akbas village, near the Turkish border with Rajo area, which includes 541 houses. They lived in the houses of their inhabitants after the displacement of their original inhabitants by the mercenaries of al-Sham Corps. The remaining indigenous population does not exceed 60 families and the other houses, 481 people of al-Ghouta and Homs settled in these homes.

They drove out landowners owners 

Citizen whose name is Abdul Qader Qammu nicked name "Qader Bombak", aging 56 years, from Maydan Akbas village in Rajo area in Afrin canton, was expelled by gangs of al-Sham Corps from his home to settle their families instead, Qammu had reached to his children in al-Shahab canton after facing many difficulties on his way.

Abdul Qader Qammu worked as a farmer in his village. He was the father of seven children. During the attacks of the Turkish occupation army and its gangs on the Afrin canton, he sent his children to Afrin city to ensure their safety and stayed alone in his home with his neighbors.

Therefore, one day, after Qammu got out of his house and went to his neighbor's, which was only a few miles away from his house, the mercenaries of al-Sham Corps seized his house and settled their families there.

Citizen Abdul Qadir Qammu narrated what he lived in Afrin to ANHA

Qammu said" The city is chaotic, and you can see Daesh gangs’ faces, people wearing long, strange costumes with beards and long hair, some carrying weapons, and they put daggers on their side like (IS), and they forced women to cover their face by veil and not move out their homes ."

On the ID issued by the Turkish occupation army to Afrin people, he said: "They asked me to take my identification papers to issue an ID to me, to became a citizen of Turkey to be able to vote” in an indication to the elections that will be held next June in Turkey and Bakur Kurdistan

Afrin city has been occupied by Turkish army and its gangs since 20 January, causing martyrdom of hundreds of civilians and wounding others and Turkish occupation's attacks caused much destruction to Afrin canton’s infrastructure and thousands of Afrin people have been forced to leave their homes for fearing of committing crime against them so they went to al-Shahba canton.
