Opening the Ain Issa camp’s kitchen has alleviated the burden on refugees during the holy month of Ramadan where it daily provides 4,500 km of food on the Iftar time in addition to distributing bread batches.

Meeting the demands of Ain Issa camp’s refugees, the camp’s administration has opened its kitchen again after a four-month pause to alleviate the burden on refugees during the Ramadan month.

The kitchen is daily providing around 4,500 km of foodstuff making up 2,900 rations distributed on 13,000 refugees every day.

5,300 batches of bread, 4 pieces for each person, are also daily distributed through the communes in the camp.

35 cooks are working in the kitchen in addition to two supervisors, the meals prepared are restricted to rice, spaghetti, lentils and grouts.

According to the supervisor in the kitchen Abdul Naser al-Ali, the kitchen was opened to alleviate the burden on refugees and help them as much as possible, stating that they do not have the possibility to provide diverse meals.
