International martyr Destan Tamoz commemorated in Kobanî

Dozens of Kobanî people, the members of the Democratic Autonomous Administrations’ (DAA) bodies, members of the civil institutions, the representatives of the Peoples Union Foundation, in addition to the comrades of the martyr in the ranks of MLKP Party, and the fighters of the People and Women Protection Units (YPG,YPJ) participated in the commemoration ceremonies in the Martyr Dijla Cemetery raising the flags that represent them.

The ceremonies began with holding a minute of silence. Then, several speeches were delivered including a speech on behalf of YPG and YPJ which was delivered by the commander Brittan Kobanî, the speech of commander in MLKP Shenkol Doze, and the speech of the Peoples Union Foundation that was delivered by Brittan Assi.

All the words commemorated the martyr Destan Tamoz, and all the martyrs of freedom who struggled against injustice and fascism and to support and liberate the oppressed peoples, stressing that the martyr Destan Tamoz has previously resisted in the prisons of the Turkish authorities and was subjected to torture and pressure to abandon the idea of ​​struggle for the sake of the peoples’ freedom. After Destan gained her freedom, she headed towards Kurdistan Mountains and struggled there against the Turkish fascism, and after the peoples’ revolution started in Rojava and North Syria, Destan joined this revolution and defended the peoples in the face of IS mercenaries till she martyred in al-Raqqa liberation campaign. The speeches promised in conclusion to continue the path of the martyr Destan and all martyrs of freedom till the aims that they sacrificed for would be achieved.

After that, the participants and the comrades of the martyr Destan Tamoz went to the tomb of the martyr, and put the party’s flags and symbols on her tomb.

The commemoration ceremony ended with chanting the slogans that glorify the martyrs.
