German delegation: We to work to put pressure on Turkey to withdraw from Afrin

As a part of the series of visits that are held by the German delegation to be introduced to the democratic system in Rojava and the Syrian north, the German delegation that have come to Rojava visited on Tuesday afternoon the headquarters of the Executive Council in al-Jazeera region in Amuda district in Qamişlo canton.

The delegation was received by the co-chair of the Executive Council of al-Jazeera canton Abdul Karim Sarokhan, the co-chair of the Legislative Council of al-Jazeera canton Nezira Korea, the co-chair's vice of the Executive Council of al-Jazeera canton Hussein Azzam, and the member of the Legislative Council's Divan Abdul Karim Sekko.

On the subjects discussed between the two sides, the member of the Legislative Council's Divan Abdul Karim Sekko said to ANHA agency that the two sides discussed the recent developments ongoing in the area, the battle in Rojava and the Syrian north, and Turkey's occupation of Afrin.

Sekko noted that they introduced the Democratic Administration’s system in Rojava to the delegation, and that the delegation expressed its admiration for this democratic project.

According to Sekko, the delegation stressed that the majority of the German people sympathize with the People and Women Protection Units and support them.

The two parties also discussed the early presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey, the attacks and the massacres of the Turkish occupation committed against the people in Rojava and the entire area.

Sekko made it clear that the delegation's members assured that they will work through the German parliament and international forums to put pressure on the Justice and Development government to withdraw from Afrin and the Syrian territories, and they will represent the voice of Rojava in Germany.
