Spanish martyr Kendal's corpse bid farewell in Rojava

The residents gathered in front of the Martyr Hoger Hospital in Dêrik to receive the corpse of the martyr Kendal, raising the pictures of the martyrs and pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan in addition to the flags of the People and Women Protection Units (YPG and YPJ) and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

After receiving the corpse of the martyr, the mourners headed towards the Martyr Khabat Dêrik Shrine chanting the slogans that salute YPG, YPJ and SDF's resistance and glorify the martyrs.

At the shrine, the forces of the Self-Defense Duty held military ceremonies. Then, Haqqi Niviskar delivered a speech in English on behalf of the international battalion in the ranks of YPG. He spoke about the martyr Kendal and his struggle within Rojava Revolution, his belief in the ideology of the democratic nation’s leader Abdullah Ocalan, and Niviskar said that the martyr came from Spain to defend freedom, dignity and the democratic nation's thought, in which he believed to save the peoples from injustice.

Nifiskar promised to follow the footsteps of the martyr until victory would be achieved.

Then, the martyr's document was read and handed over to the comrades of the martyr Kendal in the international battalion.

It is worth mentioning that the martyr Kendal, before his martyrdom, had recommended that his corpse would be buried in Rojava and not be sent to Spain.
