Determination of purchase price of wheat crop for current year

The Purchase Committee of wheat of the Agricultural Development Company, according to the member of the Committee Salman Abdul Wahab Oso that they keep 100 thousand tons of wheat in their warehouses now, and plan to buy an additional 250 thousand tons.

"They are planning to buy enough flour for six months.

Salman Abdul Wahab Oso told Hawar news agency that the lack of rainfall this year had a negative effect on the agricultural season. "The rainfed crops have only 10 %of them, of which 10 % is in Derik, but the irrigated crops are good, that the spring rain affected him, but the impact was not so much.

Parents should not worry because wheat crops will be suffice and storage warehouses are vast

While people in North Syria wonder whether wheat crops will suffice to fill the area's needs next year, Salman says people have to be assured that they are currently holding 100,000 tons of seed in 2017 and are planning to buy 250,000 tons this year, also the flour quantities are enough for 6 months.

Salman Abdul Wahab Oso confirmed that this quantity is sufficient and more than enough.

"We have 18 silos to store wheat in the northern areas of Syria, 9 in al-Jazeera (3 in Derik, one in al-Darbasiyah, Tirbê Sipî, Amuda, Qamishlo, al-Hasakah, and Sere Kaniyê). In the Euphrates region there are 9 warehouses, in addition to 3 in al-Raqqa and one in Manbij.

This is the purchase price of bags

Salman Abdul Wahab revealed that the price of buying wheat this year will be 175 SP (138 in 2017) and the purchase price of bags of wheat where the wheat is stored is 650 SP.

"We will try to buy wheat crops in Syrian pounds, but if we encounter problems we will have to buy them in dollars," he said. "We will receive the sale bills of crops from the centers where they delivered the seeds."

Salman said he hoped the residents would bring their crops to their centers which they had allocated to buy wheat.
