After liberating large areas in the eastern and western countryside of Deir-ez-Zor and the people returned to these areas because it is safe shelter, in turn, Deir-ez-Zor Civil Council opened several councils and civil institutions to serve the people.

Pedagogy and Education Committee

The Pedagogy and Education Committee started with opening of schools as a basic and primary step in order to return the students to the study seats, who were denied the right to learn for seven years. The committee opened 322 schools in the Eastern and western countryside of Deir–ez-Zor .The number of students in the basic stage was 114 thousand students, while the number of teachers reached 3,868 teachers.

As for damaged and destroyed schools, the Committee was informed of the renovation of four schools in al-Jazara and Abu Khashab area and their rehabilitation.

The Commission is currently working on the training of teachers' institutes to undergo training courses aimed at the rehabilitation and training of teachers.

The health

The Health Committee has worked on the rehabilitation and opening of al-Kasra Hospital, which provides treatment free of charge, as well as a special ward for Obstetrics.

The Kurdish Red Crescent in Deir –ez-Zor plays a prominent role in providing first aid to the residents and displaced people in Abu Khashab camp, where it works around the clock to serve the civilians despite lack of capabilities. It also provides for the needs of the people despite the meager resources.

Services and municipalities

Deir –ez-Zor Civil Council formed committees concerned with the work of municipalities and services and the committees work to secure the needs of citizens as soon as possible.

Deir –ez-Zor Civil Council opened seven municipalities in the eastern and western countryside of Deir –ez-Zor and each municipality is doing its work in full swing.

Bakeries

In terms of bakeries, the municipality has provided 20 bakeries that feed the eastern and western countryside of Deir-ez-Zor, with a production capacity of 80 tons per day.

Rehabilitation of drinking water plants

The Directorate General of Water worked on the activation and rehabilitation of drinking water stations after the maintenance and restoration of the affected stations, where 32 wells were qualified in the eastern and western countryside of Deir-ez-Zor, including "al-Jazra  station, Mealage, Abu Khashab, Jarwan, al-Kobar , Hammar al- Ali, Sakier al-Jazeera , Mahmida , Hawayaj , Saferia2 , al-Shakra " works to secure drinking water.

Agriculture

The Agriculture Committee, in cooperation with the Council of the Mohaimid village, worked on rehabilitating the agricultural associations, activating the Abu Khashab grain center and securing bags at lower prices for farmers. The committee also activated the Guidance units.

The agricultural committees in Deir–ez-Zor Civil Council hastened to repair the irrigation stations and allowed 12 irrigation stations in the eastern and western lines.

The Co-chair of the Deir –ez-Zor Civil Council, Ghassan al-Yusuf, called on humanitarian organizations to support the council and provide assistance to serve the people more broadly.
