Manbij people complain about high rents , demand to reducing them

The real estate market in Manbij city , especially rents in recent months, has seen a remarkable rise. Observers say that as a result of the influx of large numbers of residents of the Syrian governorates to Manbij city  searching to safe shelter  because of their homes became vulnerable to destruction due to the endless inter-factional conflicts on the Syrian scene .

While those in need of overnight stays, housing rents have risen recently to record levels, which people hope will be put to an end.

Abdel Nasser Mohamed wanted to rent a house that he and his family  He told Hawar news agency(ANHA) that he had reviewed a number of real estate offices in Manbaj to rent a house, but the office owners said prices were above 45,000 SYP per month.

And added "When I discuss the owners of the offices to reduce the rent of the apartment to the extent that suits the tenant's ability they say we do not have houses for the rent."

The price of renting a house in Manbij city between 50 thousand to 80 thousand Syrian pounds per month, which are high and high prices compared to neighboring cities or the situation in general.

Abdel Nasser appealed to the Union of Real Estate and the concerned parties to reduce this problem.

Ibrahim al-Mashi, owner of a real estate office in Manbaj, said: "This problem has gone beyond that, which has alarmed citizens."

The main cause of high rents is the greed of apartment owners.

The real estate union in Manbij city , which is considered an authorized body to solve the problem, has not yet been able to find a solution.
