Water insured for Merkada's people after two years

The councils of al-Hasakah city and al-Shadadi district have put an initial solution to insure drinking water for Merkada town in al-Hasakah district. Four water tanks were allocated to distribute water to the residents of the town until the pumping and desalinating stations would be repaired.

AL-HASAKAH

Al-Hasakah and al-Shadadi Councils began distributing water to the town of Merkada which was recently liberated by the Syria's Democratic Forces in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.

The council delivered four tanks to the Service Committee in the town. The tanks are filled with water from al-Shadadi water stations. Water will be distributed to the people twice a week, and in each batch, 1,000 liters of water will be distributed.

This is an initial solution till pumping stations and drinking water systems in the town would be repaired after being destroyed by IS mercenaries two years ago.

Water has been cut off from the town for two successive years during the occupation of IS mercenaries as the people were insuring water difficulty.
