MSD condemned demographic change policies, called for struggling

MSD's Aleppo Office issued a statement to the public opinion on Saturday regarding the practices and violations of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries against Afrin residents; the demographic change, killing and displacement.

The statement was read in the center of the council located in the eastern section of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo by the member of the Women's Bureau of MSD Hevin Hassen. 

The text of the statement included:

"What we have been witnessing recently through the crisis is a third world war which landed in the center of the Syrian north, but in center of the Middle East because Afrin is a transit point to the whole world, how not and Afrin is prosperous with its underground wealth and agricultural resources and with what it has of economic privacy and an important center within the new Middle East’s map.

The colonial powers in the world intended to ignite the war as these forces began to plot conspiracies to undermine the will of the people in this safest area in Syria to make it the turning and igniting the flames’ station, and not only that, they made their hatred to uproot the people from their lands and displace them from their homes within their plan to change the demography of the area.

The right of self-determination is forbidden in the colonial dictionary because calling for co-existence and the peoples’ fraternity threatens the achievement of the dreams and interests of the colonial powers in the area transformed into a proxy battlefield.

But the will of the people who have fought for thousands of years would not be undermined. We have to revolt against all the invading schemes and destroy the myth of the Ottoman army on the Syrian walls of Afrin. History has never known about a nation or people resisting for its freedom.

 We, in (MSD), stand in the same rank against these divisions which are being carried out by Turkey with the support of several countries and international agreements.
