US’ embassy opened in Jerusalem, victims' numbers reached 43 in Gaza

The United States officially opened its embassy in Jerusalem on Monday with a video message from US President Donald Trump in which he stated that Jerusalem is the real capital of Israel.

The US President Donald Trump said in his message to the participants in the ceremony that Israel is an independent state and it has the right as any country in the world to determine its capital and Jerusalem is the real capital of Israel.

Trump also stressed that Washington is already committed to the agreement of peace.

Violent clashes broke out between the Palestinian youths and the Israeli forces in Qalandiya, north of Jerusalem city in conjunction with the opening ceremony of the US’s embassy in Jerusalem as 56 Palestinians and 13 Israelis were injured in the context of the tense situations in Jerusalem. On the other hand, the victims’ numbers of Gaza clashes rose to 43.

Palestinian sources in Jerusalem reported that violent clashes erupted between the Israeli soldiers and the Palestinian youths near Qalandiya checkpoint, north of Jerusalem. The number of injuries with rubber-coated metal bullets in the Palestinian side was 56 and 13 Israelis were injured.

In Gaza Strip, the correspondent of Hawar news agency (ANHA) reported the latest developments on the scene as the number of casualties reached 43 and more than 2,235 including 1,123 wounded with live bullets and 1,112 got injured with shrapnel.

The correspondent confirmed that the warplanes continue to bombard the targets of the resistance to reach the number of sites targeted to 17 sites in the governorates of the strip.

The High Command in Palestine announced the suspension of government work in all ministries to mourn the souls of the martyrs who martyred on Monday in Gaza.
