Rehabilitating National Hospital in al-Raqqa

The rehabilitation of the National Hospital in al-Raqqa city has begun and it is supposed that the hospital would enter the service within 5 months.

Al-Raqqa Civil Council has started the rehabilitation of the National Hospital in three stages in cooperation with Doctors without Borders Organization to be put into service within 5 months.

The National Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the city of al-Raqqa to provide medical services. IS mercenaries sabotaged and disabled all the devices in the hospital, in addition to digging tunnels inside the hospital.

In cooperation with Doctors without Borders Organization, al-Raqqa Civil Council is working to rehabilitate the hospital and put it into service.

The contractor Emad Khaled al-Hamadeh who oversees the rehabilitation works said that the reconstruction’s plan will take place in three stages, including the removal of the earth mounds and building the outer wall of the hospital. The second stage is to clean the hospital from the inside. In the third stage, the hospital will be rehabilitated, and the equipment would be provided.
