Festival for pure Arabian horses in Tel Hamis

QAMIŞLO

Hundreds of Tel Hamis and its countryside’s people, the elders of clans , the civil community’s  members in addition to the Youth, Sport and Culture  Committees in Qamişlo canton attended the festival.

The festival started with chanting some poems about the pure Arabian horses. Then, the co-chair of Tel Hamis district Saleh al-Khalef delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and noted that the festival opened on behalf of the Martyrs’ Families and with the support and suspicion of Rojava Organization for Relief and Development and the clans’ sheikhs and elders.

And then, races started which were divided into 7 rounds started by 1,000 meters and ended with 1,800 meters, and the rounds were named by the martyrs’ names. Moreover, the winners 'names announced in the three ranks in each round.

For his part, the winner knight in the Heroes round of the 1,800 m race, Ra’ed Mohammed al-Ali said that the Heroes round is the strongest in the canton and Syria in general.

Ra’ed thanked the sides that organized the race and the festival which have been paid great attention to revive this culture.
