Tirbê Sipîyê Yazidis: Iraq’s elections is opportunity to end conspiracies

The Yezidis in Tirbê Sipîyê district expressed their hopes that the elections in Iraq would be an opportunity to end the plots against their people, demanding all candidates in Başûr and Şengal to settle their ranks.

As the Iraqi parliamentary elections approaches, Hawar news agency held meeting with the Yazidis of Tirbê Sipîyê who expressed their hopes that the elections would be an opportunity to end the conspiracies against the Yazidi people in these elections, calling for the Yazidis to unite their votes.

The citizen Barzan Selo stressed that the Yazidi people have always been targeted by the conspirators on the Kurdish Cause, and despite the conspiracies, the Kurds did not unite in Başûr. I wish that the Kurds would enter the elections with a unified list. The Kurds must be one hand in Başûr and Şengal and put before their eyes what happened to the Yezidis in Şengal and that these elections are an opportunity to end the conspiracies against their presence.

While Zozan Shemo wished the Kurds to enter Iraq’s parliament giving a blind eye to their narrow conflicts and the party interests, and the elections to be the beginning of the Kurdish unity for the candidates to be the voice of the Kurdish people, especially the Yazidis’ who suffered a lot at the hands of the Kurds’ enemies.

Zozan demanded the Yazidi people to not forget what happened to them in 2014, and without the Society Protection Forces intervention, the Yazidi presence would have disappeared, in addition to choosing representatives that would be able to reach their voice to the world and protect their rights.

While Keder Asi noted that the Yazidi people all over the world are monitoring these elections and find it as an opportunity to end the conspiracies that are plotted against them, especially by the Turkish state and its mercenaries who destroyed the religious cemeteries in Şengal and Afrin.

Kedar demanded in the end of his speech all the Kurds to support the Yazidis during the elections and the parliament, and he hoped that these elections would be the beginning of a new page for the Kurdish people in Iraq, and to gain their all lawful rights.
