108 detainees released in Girê Sipî

Lunching from the principle of peoples' fraternity and tolerance and in response to the clans’ sheikhs and notables' calls in Girê Sipî canton and Girê Sipî Council, the Asayîş Forces in Girê Sipî canton released 108 detainees who were arrested for all crimes, offenses and misdemeanors.

As the released are from all areas of North Syria such as Manbij, al-Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, al-Bab, al-Tabqa and Girê Sipî.

During a ceremony, the detainees have been released, and all clans’ notables and sheikhs in the area, representatives of the Democratic North-Syria Federation, Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) in Girê Sipî canton, a number of commanders of the People and Women's Protection Units, the Syrian Democratic Forces and Asayîş Forces in addition to dozens of people attended the ceremony.

The ceremony began with speeches delivered by the co-chair of DAA Hamdan al-Abed and the co-chair of the Democratic North-Syria Federation Mansour Salloum in addition to a speech on behalf of the clans’ notables delivered by the Sheikh Mohammad Nuri.

The speeches congratulated the prisoners and their families on this initiative, and stressed that this step was a confirmation on the democratic project in north Syria.

The release ceremony ended with insuring vehicles for all the released and their families to reach them to their areas.
