The Times: Architects team will document genocide sites against Şengal’s Yazidi

The Times published an article by architect Jonathan Morrison entitled "Training Yazidi women to depict the genocide sites of Daesh organization using kites."

Morrison wrote that a team of British architects will provide a training course for Yazidi women to document the genocide sites committed by IS mercenaries using kites and helium balloons.

The aimed project at pre-empting the prosecution of IS mercenaries, as the Times said, would document the sites of mass murder and sexual slavery in Şengal area, enabling researchers to produce accurate three dimensional models and associate them with testimonies of survivors from Daesh.

This is the first attempt to create a permanent record of the atrocities committed by IS mercenaries in Şengal, most of which will come from the air, using kites and helium balloons fitted with small cameras, helicopters and planes fly over mines and explosives planted by Daesh in the areas it occupied.

The newspaper said the training of a Yazidi team started by a team of architects from Goldsmith University in London.

The coordinator of the program, Ariel Kien, said that in many cases Daesh did not care about the burial of the corpses, and some of the bodies are still usually booby-trapped, so access to these places may be possible only by the methods of accurate photography.

"We hope to put pressure on United Nations to investigate on Daesh crimes," Kien told the newspaper, "by offering accurate pictures of the violence committed."
