HPG confirmed killing 3 MIT officials in special operations

The media center of the Popular Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement on the operations of the Guerrilla in Sêrt, Lêlikan, Gever and Çelê as the media center of the Popular Defense Forces reported the killing of 3 high-ranking members of the Turkish intelligence service (MIT) in March 23 in Sêrt in addition to injuring dozens of them.

The statement also said that Guerilla's fighters and in order to not be captured by the Turkish forces blew themselves up with bombs in their possessions.

The HPG `statement published on their official website is as follows:

"Within the Martyr Dalila and Revolutionary Bista Martyrs’ campaign, in March 23, our forces carried out an operation against the intelligence elements in Mawa which is located between Meîna and Mulê villages in Sêrt. Our forces dealt a blow to a vehicle that was carrying high-ranking intelligence personnel, leading to deviate it from the road. Our forces here killed 3 intelligence agents.

After the operation, the Turkish army used advanced techniques and brought a large number of soldiers by helicopter to the area. There were clashes between our forces and the enemy soldiers in March 24, in which many enemies’ soldiers were killed. Our companions Jan-Şêr and Şoreş who fought the enemy heroically and to not be captured at the hands of the enemy blew themselves up with bombs in their possessions, and won the honor of martyrdom. The operation ended in March 26. During the operation, the enemy forces broke into Mulê village and they put pressure on and threatened the villagers.
