Ain Issa power station to operate soon

The electricity workshops in Ain Issa district are working to rehabilitate the power station in the district that supplies electricity to the district and its countryside, and it will be operated within days according to the Electricity Committee.

Ain Issa’s power station was established in 2003 and stopped working for years as a result of the sabotage operations that took place during the control of IS mercenaries, and the damage was estimated at about 95%.

The station is located in the southern part of Ain Issa, and it supplies Ain Issa and its western, eastern and northern countryside in addition to supplying the drinking water station of Tel al-Samen, al-Zahira and al-Fatisah’s pump with electricity.

The capacity of this station is 20 megawatts, and it will work with half of its capacity because of the damage that inflicted to it. The workshops of the Electricity Committee of Ain Issa are working to repair the second generator in the station which its capacity is 10 mega as the first generator has been maintained and it will work with the completion of rehabilitating the electricity’s network that supplies it.

According to the administrator in Ain Issa's Electricity Committee Ahmed al-Ghazi, the maintenance work will end in the next few days; then, the station would be operated.

It is worth mentioning that Ain Issa and its western countryside are currently supplied with electricity by Sareen station and the northern countryside of Tel Abyad’s power station.
