TEV-DEM in Aleppo provides assistance to Afrin residents

Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) in Aleppo provided assistance to families from Afrin canton who were able to reach Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo, and who escaped from the attacks of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.

As a result of the brutality of the Turkish occupation dealing with civilians, and due to committing massacres in Afrin region in addition to occupying the lands and stealing and looting the civilians’ properties, a number of people from Afrin region headed towards Aleppo city and arrived the neighborhood of Sheikh Maqsoud, and in order to provide support and assistance to these families, TEV-DEM distributed some necessary assistances for them.

The aid provided by TEV-DEM included household items and furniture.

Suad Hassen, the co-chair of Democratic Society Movement in Aleppo said, "We have not failed to fulfill our humanitarian duty towards our parents who have come to the neighborhood, and we appeal to all humanitarian organizations and the United Nations (UN) to provide assistance to the people here because they are in dire need for them."

The people also thanked the efforts of TEV-DEM to help them in these difficult circumstances.
