Eastern Christians saluted Good Friday

Thousands of people from the Eastern Christian sect greeted the "Good Friday"; the day of death and the burial of Christ, and the day of salvation and redemption in which Jesus presented himself to the world as an offering on the cross.

The church rituals differ from each other in the eastern and western areas. On this day, the church is painted in black as an expression of sadness and pain over the suffering and pain of Jesus; the prophet Jesus, after his hands and legs were crucified. After striking the spear in his right hand and the exit of blood with water from his body which indicates the divinity of Jesus Christ and his humanity according to the beliefs of the Christian religion.

Christians; the Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Protestant Churches celebrate in the eastern area according to the Eastern Gregorian calendar the day of the preparation of Jesus Christ, and begin with circulars, church rites and melodies associated with Good Friday. Then, The priest and the deacons ascend to the altar to bid farewell, wash and place the Lord Jesus in the shroud according to the priest of the Virgin Mary Church Khoury Samaan Issa in Tirbê Sipîyê town.

Issa pointed out at the end of his speech that after the completion of the Good Friday’s rituals, the Syriacs celebrate on Saturday which is called Light Saturday as Christ illuminated hell, and gave hope to all the dead.

The religious rituals continue for 3 days to celebrate the Easter on Sunday.
