Why are goods deficient in al-Shahba, Sherawa?

AFRIN- Merchants and sellers in the villages of Sherawa district and the districts of al-Shahba canton suffer from the problem of insurance of goods, after the occupation of Turkish occupation army of Afrin city and the looting of shops and goods, which negatively affected the trade in local markets.

In recent times, shops have been absent and sellers and traders can no longer secure their goods in the required quantity. The sellers and traders are supplying quantities of goods from Nobul and al-Zahra towns at high prices. This opens the way for price manipulation and monopoly of goods.

For his part, the seller Rashid Karajul from Satiya village of Janders area pointed out that he has been selling clothes for 3 years. "Before, the goods were available very much, but now we face a problem in securing them."

He pointed out that they now rely on small quantities of goods they provide from the Nobul and al-Zahra towns at high prices. "However, there is a demand by the people to buy, because most of them went out of their homes without carrying anything with them."

The seller Ahmed Hassan said that there is a large manipulation of prices and loss of some products, and this phenomenon negatively affected the sale and purchase.

It should be noted that the sellers of Afrin canton rely on the sale of their simple goods on the mobile markets opened in the area, which starts every day of the week in a village from 7 am to 3 pm, as follows: "Saturday in Kafer Naya town, Sunday in Aqiba village, Monday in Kharbka village, Tuesday and Friday in Ahras town, Wednesday in Tal Rifat city, Thursday in Deir Jemal town.
