Young man tells torture story of Turkey’s gangs in Afrin

The young man Baki Hamo and a number of his comrades were arrested by the mercenary gangs in Afrin and were exposed to the most severe physical and psychological torture.

AL-SHAHBA - The young man Baqi Hamo exposed details of what he and some young Kurds who could not get out of Afrin experienced at the hands of the occupying Turkish state; as they were practicing physical and psychological torture against innocent civilians.

Hawar news agency(ANHA) interviewed the young man Baki Hamo from Dumiliya village belonging to Shera district in Afrin canton talked about the crimes and inhuman acts committed by the Turkish state against unarmed civilians.

What happened with Baqi in Jabal al-Ahlam

Hamo told us details of what happened to him as he left Afrin city towards Jabal al-Ahlam in Sherawa district saying "We have been forced to leave Afrin city due to the bombardment of the Turkish occupation army, and went to Jabal al-Ahlam in Sherawa district where clashes erupted between of the People and Women Protection Units(YPG and YPJ) fighters on the one hand and the Turkish occupation army and its gangs on the other hand, there, we were captured by the mercenary gangs of the Turkish state."

Hamo added in his speech "They had tortured us with the worst forms of torture, they insulted us, they stripped us of our clothes, they beat us on a daily basis. On the third day, they took one of our comrades, and we did not know what they did to him. When we asked them, they told us that they had killed him in order to frighten us.

On the fourth day, violent clashes erupted in the area, Hamo and his comrades exploited the opportunity and were able to fled from the capture and go to al-Shahba areas.
