YPJ pledges to protect all women

 The Women's Protection Units held a press conference in the building of the Syrian Democratic Forces' command in the city of Hasaka, in which they explained the latest developments of the release of a girl and two young Yazidi women who were kidnapped by ISIS mercenaries, in the Al-Hol camp.

 "Two days after the anniversary of the ISIS mercenaries' attack on Shingal, which took place on August 3, 2014, which was carried out by the Turkish state that was against the Yazidi component, its culture and values" the YPJ's spokeswoman, Roxan Mohammed said.

"74 massacres were committed against the Yazidi component, and in each massacre they wanted to keep them away from their culture and religion, but the great resistance of the Yazidi community, especially the women managed to stand up to these massacres with cooperation the People's and Women's Protection Units and the guerrilla forces" Mohammed added

She stressed that the Yazidi community managed to build a military base in addition to civil and military institutions.

The freed Yazidi girl, Tawaf Dawood, said during the conference, "I was kidnapped by ISIS mercenaries in 2014. I was 14 years old at the time. The Women's Protection Units rescued my sister in 2019 from ISIS mercenaries. We will return to Shingal as soon as possible."

The young Yazidi girl, Aziza Khalid Ali from the village of Kojo, said, "I was kidnapped by ISIS mercenaries when I was 15 years old. I am now 25 years old. I hope that all Yazidi women who were kidnapped by ISIS mercenaries will be released."
