4 Syrians killed in Israeli raid on southern Lebanon
An Israeli raid on southern Lebanon killed 4 Syrians, including two children and a woman, and injured 5 Lebanese.

Four Syrians, including two children and a woman, were killed in an Israeli raid on the town of Shamaa in southern Lebanon today, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health and media reports.
The raid, which targeted the outskirts of the town located in the western sector of southern Lebanon, also injured 5 Lebanese.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated that the five injured are receiving treatment in hospital.
The attack comes at a time of heightened tension between Israel on the one hand, and Iran and its allies in the region on the other, following the assassination of the head of the political bureau Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, and the leader of Hezbollah, Fouad Shukr, in Beirut.
The two assassinations raise fears that the conflict between Israel and Iran's allies could turn into a wider war in the Middle East.
